The human figure has always been my favorite subject to paint. In almost any situation or setting, we're compelled to seek, study, and understand other people. One aspect of figurative painting that I particularly enjoy is the study of the female nude. Going beyond just the surface physical form, it's also my goal to capture the subtleties and complexities that enable us to connect emotionally. In considering expression, costume, and pose, I look for a quiet eroticism in my nudes which suggests an intimacy that is more than just physical.
